KYVE’s latest release of its web app signifies a major leap toward decentralized data validation adoption. For those unaware, KYVE’s web app is where the magic happens! It’s home to the protocol layer and data lake, where KYVE’s large network of validators, delegators, and funders all come together to make data trustless.

KYVE

In the beginning stages of the protocol, it was imperative that a strong group of validators join the network to help bring the protocol to life, leading to the web app being heavily geared towards them and delegators. Now that the network is well established, it’s time to enhance the app for all KYVE data users.

With a refreshed look, new query playground, embedded KSYNC command generator for fast network syncing, new data source pages for a full display of data capabilities per chain, easier navigation, and much more, the web app v3 represents a redefined look into KYVE’s trustless data. Let’s dive into all that’s new…

Navigating KYVE’s Trustless Data Hub

Starting with the updatedHome page, which brings together all aspects of KYVE Network, lowering barriers and clearing up the user paths, not just for protocol validators but all who interact with KYVE’s trustless data.

Home page

Featured on the homepage and different source pages is KYVE’s new query playground. This offers users a look into clearly decoded events, transactions, and blocks of all blockchains archived and validated through KYVE. For example, you can extract from a specific chain’s data, querying IBC transfers, delegation events, failed transactions, whale transfers, and more. It’s also possible to put the playground in full screen for more thorough use!

The data query playground is aimed to give a preview into the capabilities of building with KYVE. The trustless data presented is true and updated every 24 hours; however, if you’d like to get the full scope of sourcing and building with KYVE’s trustless data, you can visitKYVE’s Data Pipeline! Which is what this query playground is based on.

KYVE’s Data Pipeline

*Please note:All chains on KYVE mainnet support this data query playground except for Cosmos Hub, which requires the launch of a new block results-dedicated data pool in order to function. Stay tuned!

KYVE recently released a new product calledKSYNC,which enables validators to sync with a network in record time and with limited resources. More importantly, syncing to any historic height in under two minutes for free!

KSYNC,

KSYNC supports all blockchains (sources) archived and validated by KYVE as displayed on the web app. Depending on which type of data pool each source has, KSYNC can perform three different sync methods: block-sync, state-sync, and height-sync. Simply choose the blockchain you want to sync with from the drop-down menu, click “generate the commands” on the sync method you’d like, and follow the three simple steps on the popup. Then run it!

With more and more data pools launching on mainnet, some of them pertaining to the same data source, re-organizing the layout was essential to further streamline web app navigation.

Now, discover Source Pages like Cronos, where you can find details on the data source, as well as see the different data pools pulling from that source (like state-sync or blocks), plus the query playground and KSYNC command generator. This gives data users a better overview of KYVE’s capabilities per data source. For faster navigation, you can also find all individual data pools grouped together by clicking on “Pools” in the menu bar.

Pools

Currently, there are five source pages: Cosmos Hub, Axelar, Archway, Cronos, and Osmosis. Many more are on the way! You can also request to add a source via the easy add button on the “Sources” page.

Sources

Each source page is governed by the generalsource registry. This is similar to the Cosmos Chain registry, which provides a source of truth for all IBC-registered chains. By implementing this, you can now find readable, open-source files with specific properties that can be easily adjusted via pull requests to ensure that each source fits the requirements for KSYNC and the data query playground and is adapted over time if needed.

Enhanced User Experience & Overall Look

On top of a whole new design, there are also many exciting new user-specific features, starting with the uniquely generated bull PFP…

Image

A key mascot for KYVE-ers throughout the years has been the bull; therefore, it was an easy decision to implement an auto-generated bull profile photo per address. With each new address, the generated bull and background colors change!

For validators and delegators, enhanced error tracking was added, along with an updated settings section to mark your preferred explorer, dark or light mode (brand new!), and to implement expert mode or not. The funders page has also been updated to better highlight each funder profile. Further validator tooling and rewards calculators are in the works.

Overall, the web app v3 stears away from the previous block explorer/analytical style and instead brings forward a more minimalistic approach, enabling all users to seamlessly explore and navigate KYVE’s trustless data hub. Updates to bring this to life include:

More New Features In The Works

KYVE is over the moon releasing this new web app version for its users! This marks a major next step in the expansion of KYVE Network, its data capabilities, and the overall inspiration and user ease for building with trustless data.

Currently supporting leading Cosmos chains, KYVE also looks forward to opening up to new ecosystems and data use cases. And of course, further enhancing the validator, delegator, funder, and developer user experience. Be sure totest out the newKYVE web app v3yourself and share your feedback! Remember, don’t trust; verify.
