Since the start, KYVE has aimed to solve major data access and reliability roadblocks in today’s Web3 via its decentralized data solutions. In order to further support our DAO approach and the development, adoption, and growth of KYVE Network and its ecosystem, we’re thrilled to bring forward theKYVE Foundation.
On March 23rd, the KYVE Foundation was officially established by formal incorporation, enabling it to truly get started in backing KYVE Network and its plans for providing truly trustless data for all.
The Foundation
The KYVE Foundation is here to grow our trustless ecosystem. Promoting the full and gradual decentralization of KYVE Network and its technology, further empowering today’s builders with the necessary resources and trustless data to bring forward the innovative platforms and applications of tomorrow.
The Foundation’s Top ResponsibilitiesThe KYVE Foundation’s main responsibilities include developing and fostering the KYVE ecosystem as well as the technology it requires, training and educating around the KYVE Network tech stack, and promoting public awareness regarding the KYVE ecosystem and its use cases.
To do so, the Foundation will provide support and financing (via grants) for appropriate research and development activities as well as organize and support workshops, hackathons, developer events, and the like for KYVE ecosystem participants and interested developers, as well as engage with various businesses, partners, banks, regulators, authorities, and other third parties to the benefit of the KYVE ecosystem, and more.
Foundation RoadmapWe have a lot of exciting plans in store for the KYVE Foundation, especially regarding its support for the growth of our ecosystem. Currently, there is already the Foundation Delegation Program in place, providing support and incentivization for KYVE’s genesis validators. Regarding what’s to come next, you can expect:
And much more! We look forward to seeing the KYVE Network, ecosystem, and KYVE Foundation grow together in their mission to provide a truly trustless future for Web3 data infrastructure.
Foundation BoardThe KYVE Foundation is led by a board of passionate, well-experienced members, including our co-founders, Fabian Riewe and John Letey, and trusted advisor Kevin Leuthardt.
As time goes on, the board is subject to grow to best adjust to the Foundation’s needs. It’s important to note that although certain members of the KYVE team have been shifted towards the Foundation, the core team will continue to work on KYVE.
Expanding the KYVE Ecosystem
All participants in the KYVE Ecosystem, including the KYVE Foundation, believe that a truly secure and scalable Web3 requires easy and reliable access to trustless data.
With KYVE providing trustless data, the KYVE Foundation will lead on the support side, providing builders with the resources they need in order to fully benefit from KYVE’s technology and scale within its ecosystem.
We look forward to seeing the KYVE ecosystem grow and flourish, bringing forward a multitude of impactful solutions for the future of Web3. Be sure to follow theKYVE Foundation on Twitterto stay tuned for its upcoming Grant Program, official DAO roadmap, and other developments.
About KYVE
KYVE Networkis revolutionizing customized access to on- and off-chain data by providing fast and easy tooling for decentralized data validation, immutability, and retrieval. Its data lake archives and validates data in a decentralized way, making trustless data easily accessible via solutions like KYVE’s Data Pipeline.
The network is powered by decentralized uploaders and validators funded by $KYVE tokens and operates as a DAO following our mainnet launch. This past year, KYVE has gained significant support, currently backed by top VCs, including Hypersphere Ventures, Coinbase Ventures, Distributed Global, Mechanism Capital, CMS Holdings, IOSG Ventures, and blockchains such as Arweave, Avalanche, Solana, Interchain, and NEAR.
