KYVE Making Impact on the Cosmos Ecosystem, Launching Six Major Integrations

In April 2022, the KYVE Network launched its own layer 1 chain by switching to the Cosmos SDK framework. This switch provided the KYVE team with new opportunities to grow the network and removed previous constraints for blockchain integrations.

To celebrate this occasion, our team has dedicated the next few protocol integrations to projects within the Cosmos ecosystem! This includes the Cosmos Hub, Injective, Axelar, Evmos, Cronos, and Umee.

These six integrations offer numerous benefits not only to KYVE and our users but also to the projects involved. Providing KYVE’s Web3 data lake solution to more blockchains, data providers, and developers contributes to Web3’s overall scalability by reducing the overabundance of unorganized, untrustworthy data. It also adds more data to KYVE, broadening our reach and allowing new use cases and future collaboration opportunities.

Let’s break down these integrations and what they mean for KYVE-ers worldwide.

Bringing KYVE’s Web3 Data Lake Solution into the Cosmos

KYVE launched these new integrations starting with the Cosmos Hub on April 4th.Cosmos, an ecosystem of interconnected independent blockchains, has been rapidly expanding, now with over 265 apps and services built into their network.

Cosmos

With the goal of building an open, scalable, and interconnected economy of the future, it’s imperative for Cosmos to properly manage the data its blockchain and network are creating. By integrating KYVE’s protocol, its data will now be permanently stored in a streamlined manner. This makes it easy for any developers or projects building on Cosmos to access the data they need.

KYVE then launched a data pool withInjective, the interoperable blockchain optimized for building powerful exchange, DeFi, derivatives & Web3 applications.

Injective

Having built one of the largest and fastest-growing DeFi ecosystems in the world, naturally, Injective has accumulated a wide assortment of data to manage.

With this integration, KYVE has begun collecting all of Injective’s blocks and transactions to archive their data on Arweave. As a result, data on Injective is becoming truly decentralized in terms of storage and can be accessed by anyone in an organized manner.

“The Injective community is excited to be working alongside KYVE to further drive adoption of scalable and immutable data for users globally.” Said Injective Labs co-founder and CEO, Eric Chen.

The next KYVE integration to launch was withAxelar, the permissionless network enabling users to build cross-chain apps. Their protocol bridges blockchain ecosystems, allowing for frictionless communication between all applications while holding a strong safety and liveness standard.

Axelar

With this new integration, developers using Axelar no longer need to jump through multiple hoops to obtain cross-chain data. Instead, they can easily access all the reliable, verified data they need directly from KYVE! And for KYVE users, this new integration means they now get access to interchain accounts and the ability to source and send data securely across chains.

To celebrate the launch of this integration, we hosted arecorded joint Twitter Spacewith the Axelar team and our founders, John and Fabian, to discuss what this means for our communities in greater detail.

It’s been a pleasure working with theEvmosteam in getting not one but two data pools running for our users! Bringing on both EVM and Cosmos-based data.

Evmos

Evmos brings ETH-based apps and assets into the Cosmos ecosystem, allowing dApp developers to have all the desired features of Ethereum while at the same time benefiting from Tendermint’s PoS implementation and being able to exchange value with the rest of the Cosmos ecosystem.

By integrating KYVE’s protocol, both Evmos’ Cosmos chain data and EVM-based data will be archived, enabling DApp developers to easily get on-chain information that might not have been easy to fetch before.

Next up was Crypto.com’s growing blockchain,Cronos.

Cronos

Cronos is the first blockchain network that interoperates with both the Ethereum and Cosmos ecosystems, supporting DeFi, NFTs, and the metaverse. It aims to massively scale the Web3 user community by providing builders with the ability to instantly port apps and crypto assets from other chains with low cost, high throughput, and fast finality.

This entails a lot of essential data going across chains with limited user access. However, through this KYVE integration, users can now more easily fetch the chain data they need in a reliable and decentralized way.

The most recent KYVE integration was withUmee, the cross-chain DeFi hub for rates, staking, and interoperability.

Umee

As a base layer blockchain, Umee allows applications and money lego primitives to be built onto it, accessing cross-chain leverage and liquidity. This is a classic use case for the KYVE protocol, enabling Umee and KYVE users to get more streamlined access to their chain data, making it easier and more efficient for node running and app building.

Six Impactful Integrations

KYVE was thrilled to work with the teams behind some of these projects and interact with their communities! Currently, there are 300 nodes running on these new pools, archiving and validating the data needed, with over eleven million $KYVE allocated to them.

We look forward to scaling our Web3 data lake solution to more users, developers, and blockchains, enabling new use cases and more archived, reliable data for everyone.

You can expect more exciting KYVE integrations and collaborations to come in the following months, thanks to our protocol’s easy implementation on any Layer 1 or 2 projects.

About KYVE

KYVE, the Web3 data lake solution, is a protocol that enables data providers to standardize, validate, and permanently store blockchain data streams. By leveraging permanent data storage solutions like Arweave, KYVE’s Cosmos SDK chain creates permanent backups and ensures the scalability, immutability, and availability of these resources over time. KYVE operates as a DAO (Decentralized Autonomous Organization), which means it is powered by decentralized archivers and validators funded by $KYVE tokens. KYVE is backed by top VCs, including Hypersphere Ventures, Coinbase Ventures, Mechanism Capital, CMS Holdings, and blockchains such as Arweave, Avalanche, Solana, Interchain, and NEAR.
