KYVE Integrates Cronos, Providing A Trustless Backup Of The Leading Ethereum-Compatible L1

KYVEcontinues to expand its trustless data sets, recently partnering with and integrating Cronos Chain, the first blockchain that interoperates with Ethereum and Cosmos ecosystems.

KYVE

By providing a trustless backup of Cronos onto Arweave, the permanent data storage solution, KYVE enables its vast ecosystem of node runners, developers, data analysts, and more to freely access and implement any of the chain’s historical data in a decentralized and streamlined way, effectively avoiding centralized, costly, or unreliable sources for more secure building and interactions.

Sync to Any Historic Cronos Height or Block

KYVE’s latest tool,KSYNC, empowers node runners to quickly sync to any historical height or block of a chain that has been archived and validated by KYVE. KYVE is thrilled to provide this data integration for Cronos users and network participants to further enhance their data experience.

KSYNC

Pool 1: Block IntegrationProviding free access to trustless Cronos blocks and block results opens the doors to many data use cases. For example, via KYVE’s no-codeData Pipeline, you can easily import the trustless Cronos chain data into your preferred backend for streamlined dashboard or explorer building, chain analysis and monitoring, transaction verification, smart contract interactions, and more. If you’re a more experienced/technical dev, you can check out KYVE’sREST APIto build your own data-sourcing solution from KYVE.

For node runners, this data pool is also important as it can be used with KYVE’s toolKSYNCto sync blocks to join the Cronos network in a reliable, trustless way.

KSYNC

Pool 2: State-Sync IntegrationState-sync, a method of synchronizing with a blockchain’s state through snapshots, is crucial for nodes on any PoS chain. However, it comes with its own challenges, notably in locating specific snapshots needed from a reliable, decentralized source.

KYVE’s KSYNC simplifies this process by applying already verified state-sync snapshots to the node, enabling trustless synchronization with any historic Cronos height in under two minutes, thus enhancing overall user experience and reliability.

Up Next

Start testing out building with trustless Cronos data via KYVE testnet data pools or thestart of the mainnet data pools. Once KYVE catches up to the latest blocks and state of the Cronos Chain, users will be able to sync to any height or block in the chain’s entire history in under two minutes. Thanks to this integration, more and more KYVE data use cases can come to life and motivate a trustless ecosystem. Keep an eye out for upcoming hackathons and bounties!

About Cronos

Cronos (cronos.org) is the leading Ethereum-compatible layer 1 blockchain network built on the Cosmos SDK, supported by Crypto.com, Crypto.org, and more than 500 app developers and partners. Today, the #CROfam ecosystem represents an addressable user base of more than 80 million people worldwide. Our mission is to make it easy and safe for the next billion crypto users to adopt Web3, with a focus on decentralized applications in the DeFi, NFTs and GameFi verticals.

Shortly after launch in November 2021, Cronos achieved a top 10 position amongst all chains by TVL. It is home to more than 1 million users and 500+ dApps. Transaction fees are paid in Cronos ($CRO), a blue chip cryptocurrency. The Cronos ecosystem is supported byCronos Labs, the start-up accelerator of Cronos chain.

About KYVE

KYVE Networkis revolutionizing customized access to on- and off-chain data by providing fast and easy tooling for decentralized data validation, immutability, and retrieval. Its data lake archives and validates data in a decentralized way, making trustless data easily accessible via solutions like KYVE’s Data Pipeline.
