Impacting the Web3 Data Space: KYVE Takes EthCC Week 2023

Providing solutions for pertinent data roadblocks in today’s space, KYVE thrives on staying at the forefront, addressing relevant challenges, and collaborating with like-minded projects to ensure a truly trustless and sustainable Web3. Participating in conferences and events allows our team to gain direct insights on these topics and strengthen our connections with fellow builders and communities.

It’s easy to say that this year’s EthCC week allowed for exactly that! Attending over fifteen different side events, four of which we sponsored and participated in, our team was definitely kept busy and inspired. Let’s recap…

Born to Build #4

We kicked off day one of EthCC week with our first side event and a classic for KYVE’s builder community, Born to Build! At our OG spot, the Long Hop pub, this evening brought back nostalgia from our very first Born to Build event and, with over 250 guests, proved to be yet another great get-together of passionate builders, community members, and partners.

This year, we co-hosted the event withFantom,Commonwealth, andHyperlane.

Cosmos On Y Va!

Next up was our second side event, Cosmos On Y Va! (“Cosmos, Let’s Go” in French). Co-hosting withNym,Evmos,Akash, andSecret Network, we provided a creative space at the NFT Factory for brainstorming around the future of the Cosmos ecosystem.

From the cocktail hour to two in-depth panels on the importance of cross-chain implementation and user experience and finishing with food and constructive discussions, this event was a huge success in bringing together prominent projects within the Cosmos ecosystem and sparking further collaboration and development.

Empowering Cosmos Growth Via Governance Panel at Osmocon

Osmocon was a hit! Our team thoroughly enjoyed the unique venue setup, with multiple spaces for conversation and presentations. We were thrilled to take part as event sponsors and have our Founder, Fabian Riewe, speak on a panel alongsideKeplr,Commonwealth, and Osmosis community analystRobo McGobo, discussing how governance is empowering growth in the Cosmos ecosystem.

As we aspire to become a fully decentralized network, governance plays a pivotal role in KYVE’s development and ongoing success. It allows the proposal of essential tech advancements, shapes processes, and fosters community activities. Being part of this panel gave us a platform to further push our commitment to decentralization and present ourrecent proposal for defining KYVE’s governance process.

If you’re a project building within the Cosmos ecosystem, Osmocon was the place to be. Most major ecosystem players were present, making it a perfect place to expand our network and collaborations. And, of course, we ended the day at the infamous boxing ring!

Presenting How KYVE Makes Cosmos Data Trustless at Nebular Summit

Nebular Summit was the perfect conference to end the week off. We were happy to take part for a second year in a row! With our Founder giving a talk on how exactly KYVE is making Cosmos Hub data trustless and freely accessible to all.

The venue was filled with dedicated developers and other data users and projects, providing a great space for sharing KYVE’s innovative data tech, and emphasizing on the problems we’re solving. For example, with many validators attending, this was a great space to push KYVE’sKSYNC, soon to make syncing with the entire Cosmos Hub blockchain data, and other upcoming chains, a breeze.

More and More Events

It was such a pleasure to see so many enthusiastic projects and communities coming together in one city. In between all of these events and conferences, the KYVE team made sure to stop by over 10 other side events, such as IOSG’s Old Friends’ Reunion, Lemniscap’s Portfolio Meetup, A41’s Friends Breakfast, BNB Chain Innovation Night, Zee Prime’s Infra breakfast, Modular Summit, and more.

Event Takeaways

Our main takeaway from 2023’s EthCC week is that the space is hungry for innovation and growth. Everyone is enthusiastic about the future of Web3 and eager for collaboration and problem-solving, and KYVE is right there with them!

Our team also thoroughly enjoyed bringing together yet another Born to Build, and aim to keep this legacy of events going. We’re also just getting started when it comes to participating in Cosmos ecosystem events as we grow our presence in the space.

Overall, KYVE’s participation in EthCC week proved to be successful in fostering further network growth, collaboration, and innovation, with many leads on what to focus on next for KYVE and our trustless data tech. And we’re not slowing down… next stop… Korea Blockchain Week!
